Grégoire Simon is a berlin based french viola and violin player, composer and producer.
Navigating as interpret between the fields of contemporary music, free improvisation and transtraditional experimentations, he constantly investigates new way of creation.
His compositions and solo performances, in search of "polymusic", question the notions of multiplicity and polysemy through various musical stratagems: mixing of heterogeneous genres, post-modern approach / recontextualization of historical references, polyrhythms and multi-layered melodic superpositions, playing with the limits of perception during complex sound processes...
